What's New in DataEngine Version 1.31

You can now read about what's new in DataEngine each time you log into your system after an update. The scroll bar on your right will help you navigate through this information.   

 

The items covered in this document include enhancements and fixes for version 1.31. Once you have finished reading the What's New in Version 1.31 information, click on the Close button to launch DataEngine.  

 

This information will display each time you log into DataEngine until you check the Don't show this again until the next update box.  If you would like to access this information from within DataEngine, just click on the Help menu and select What's New.

Enhancements and Fixes

ChildPlus added a new utility that allows you to clear Education fields for the release of version 1.31.  In addition, enhancements were made to the Income Status field on the Enrollment screen and Report 2375, CACFP Reimbursement Summary. Report 3001, Management Report - Health Services, was modified as well.  

The following table lists the enhancements that ChildPlus incorporated into the release of DataEngine version 1.31:

 

Enhancement/Fix

Description

Clear Education Utility

You can now use the Clear Education Utility to clear out old data from the Education screen in ChildPlus DataEngine. This utility can be especially helpful if you used ChildPlus during previous years and now want to clear data that is no longer valid for returning participants. The type of data you can clear includes:

 

  • Dates stored in the Education Home Visits, Individualized Curriculum, and Parent Conference fields
  • Assessment A Data
  • Assessment B Data
  • Any notes that you entered on the Education screen

 

To run this utility, click on the System menu, click on Admin Utilities and select Clear Education.

Enrollment - Income Status field

In response to the Improving Head Start for School Readiness Act of 2007, ChildPlus added handling for families between 100-130% of the poverty level.  

 

If you click on the Income Status drop-down list on the Enrollment screen, you will now see the option for 101-130%. Also, Homeless is now available as a selection option in this list. You can find this field on the Eligibility tab of the Enrollment screen.

Report 2375 - CACFP Reimbursement Summary

You can now run this report with separate totals for AM and PM snacks.

Report 3001 - Management Report - Health Services

Users no longer receive an error message when running this report.
