Enhancements

ChildPlus made enhancements to both
CreativeCurriculum.net
and the Enrollment
screen for the release of version 1.30. The Enrollment screen changes
include the addition of a new termination code, No
Show (do not count on PIR). If you
choose this code, the child will not count towards the PIR unless you
check the Received
Services box (in which case, the child will only be counted
towards question A.23.c). You also
now have the option of leaving the Entry
Date field blank.
The following table lists the
enhancements that ChildPlus incorporated into the release of DataEngine
version 1.30:
|
Screen/Module |
Description |
|
CreativeCurriculum.net
|
ChildPlus added a
warning message that now displays when you click on the Finished
Synchronizing checkbox. This
message was added as a safety measure and asks you to confirm that
you are ready to fully integrate CreativeCurriculum.net with
DataEngine.
Another CreativeCurriculum.net enhancement that
was completed for this release can be found on the Enrollment screen. When
you click on the Edit button (to
edit a child's Enrollment
Date, Entry
Date, or Funding Source),
you also now have the option of quickly adding or removing the child
from CreativeCurriculum.net. If
this box is unchecked, checking it will tell ChildPlus to add the
child to CreativeCurriculum.net. If
this box is already checked, however, unchecking it will tell
ChildPlus to remove the child from
CreativeCurriculum.net.

Enrollment
- Termination Reason &
Received Services check box |
ChildPlus added a new
code, No Show (do not count on
PIR), to the list of termination codes that display in the
Termination
Reason list. This code was added to address the issue of
participants who enroll in a program but who never actually attend
class. The participants that you terminate using this code will not
count towards the PIR unless they received services prior to being
terminated from the program (in which case, they will only be
counted towards question A.23.c). Up
until they are terminated, however, these participants will display
on enrollment reports.
To indicate that a
participant has received services prior to enrollment, you will need
to check the Received Services
box on the Enrollment screen. Checking
the Received
Services box tells ChildPlus that you want this child or
pregnant mother to count towards question A.23.c on the PIR. Because
of the nature of this question, this check box is only available
when a participant has never been enrolled or, if they were
enrolled, the participant was terminated from the program with the
termination reason of No Show (do not count on
PIR). |
|
Enrollment
- Entry Date |
You now have the option
of the leaving the Entry Date field
blank. When
you enroll a child in a program, ChildPlus will still automatically
populate this field with the same date that you assign as the
child's Enrollment
Date. However, you can now manually delete the child's Entry Date if you
do not want to use this field. Keep
in mind though, if a child does not have an Entry Date, he/she
will not display on any Health Requirement
reports. |
Fixes

The following
table lists the fixes that ChildPlus incorporated into the release of
DataEngine version 1.30:
|
Screen/Module |
Description |
|
Enrollment |
All user security
setting will remain in force if you access this screen using the
Navigator and
use the Previous and Next buttons on the
PIR C.9 tab.
If you delete someone's income amount from the Income Eligibility
field, ChildPlus will automatically reset the value of this field to
0. |
|
Family
Intake |
You are no longer
required to assign a social security number when saving a family
member's information. In
version 1.29.18, you could not save a family member's record without
a social security number (even if you provided a birth date).
ChildPlus will now display a more specific message if you
attempt to assign the same social security number to multiple
people. |
|
Family
Member Lookup |
You can only enter
numbers into the ChildPlus ID field
when using this field to look up a family member. In
previous releases, this field would accept alpha characters even
though ChildPlus ID's are always numeric. |
Reports

ChildPlus both enhanced and
modified existing reports for the release of 1.30.
LiveReport
You can now include the CACFP Date, CACFP Income, and CACFP Status Code fields
on reports that you create using LiveReport.
To access
these database fields, base your LiveReport on Participant and select Family Members as the specific type of
Participant
Information.
